CREATIVE ARTS KIDS’ CAMP Kindergarten – Grade 2 Monday – Friday 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM
Young students are introduced to the many aspects of theatre. They are encouraged to express themselves creatively and expand their imagination. They have fun participating in theatre games, pantomimes, improvisations, story dramatization and role playing. As an ensemble, they learn to sing and dance to choreographed musical numbers. They have hands on experience working on elementary theatrical art projects. They construct props, simple costumes and design and paint scenery. At the conclusion of each session, all students perform in a musical skit especially written for The Creative Arts Kids’ Camp.

THE YOUTH THEATRE ARTS WORKSHOP Grades 3 – 4 Grades 5 – 6 Monday – Friday 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
In this division of The Performing Arts Studio Theatre Camp, young students learn all aspects of theatre, acting, musical theatre, improvisation and stagecraft. They will be dancing to choreographed show tunes, learn vocal and breathing techniques, perfect comic timing through improvisation, work on character development, and paint and design scenery that will enhance their final production. Both the 4 week and 2 week sessions conclude with a performance of a popular Broadway musical.

THE TEEN THEATRE ARTS WORKSHOP Grades 7 – 9 Grades 10 – 12 Monday – Friday 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
This division of The Performing Art Studios Theatre Camp allows teens to sharpen their acting skills by participating in more advanced theatre games, improvisations and in-depth character study. They dance and sing to sophisticated show tunes and work on vocal techniques such as breathing, articulation and projection. They actively design, paint and construct scenery and props that will be used in their final production. Both the 4 week and 2 week sessions conclude with a staged version of a popular Broadway show.

TEEN STAGECREW WORKSHOP
Grades 6 – 12
Monday – Friday 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
The Teen Stagecrew Workshop is designed for the child who loves the theatre but is not focused on performing. Teens will learn lighting, set, and prop design. They will be taught all aspects of running and mounting a performance, as well as learn the basics of stage managing a show. They will utilize these skills as they assist backstage in our Youth and Teen Theatre Arts Workshops' final musical productions.
